The Alamo & Mariachi Band

Here is a picture of Joe and I at the Alamo on the 4th of July. We spent the day walking around San Antonio. We went to the El Mercado (the Mexican market) and then the Riverwalk. Joe and Annie had the best gordita I have ever had in my life at the market. The Riverwalk was actually just full of shops and restaurants, but it was fun to walk and see everything. It was really neat until we got rained on!!! We were lucky because this was at the end of our day. However, Annie really wanted to run in the rain, but it was that super hard rain that hurts.

We had a blast at the wedding. Here is a picture of me with the mariachi band. Do you think we can fly them to South Bend for our wedding? :)

Vino, Vino and more Vino

If I were coming home today, I would be coming home fat and drunk. All we have done is eat and drink for 24 hours. It was a great wedding, we are still celebrating with Ciccio and Rossella and we leave for Amsterdam tomorrow. Tomorrow we will be leaving the pasta and vino for pancakes and beer. :)

Ciao, Ciao.

Wedding Day

Today is wedding day!Joey has left me alone with the Italian women for 4 hours now. Not quite sure where he is at, but I am starting to get desperate with this language barrier. God only knows what I have said to them and what they are saying about me.

All the ladies get together and do their hair, makeup, and make the bed for the wedding couple. I wish I had our camera because this has been great. Rosella's bouquet is beautiful! By far the most gorgeous bouquet I have ever seen.

The wedding is in Rosella's hometown, then the reception is at hotel near Bovalino. Of course we will take 400 pictures and maybe I can post in Amsterdam.

Ciao.

Bovalino

Yesterday we flew to Roma and then took the night train to Bovalino. I think I have had six dinners in the 20-some hours I have been in Italy, but everyone we visit feeds us. The wedding is not until Saturday, so we will sit, visit and eat for a few more days.

We did a quick tour of Rome at night before we made it on the train. I fell asleep within moments of leaving and woke us to a man delivering us espresso in the morning. It was perfect.

I would love to write about all our meals, but this computer is a bit slow. We haven't found wireless internet down here and we are on Ciccio's computer.

I'll keep you updated as we can...we leave for Amsterdam on the 31st.

Miss you all!

Mrs. Joey

Yeah! I am going to be Mrs. Joey. Last night, Joe took me to a great dinner and then to the Eiffel Tower at night. On the hour, it sparkles with lights and is gorgeous. We took some awesome pictures and then went to sit on a bench underneath. Of course, he said all the most perfect things and then asked me to be his wife. I love my ring (and Joey!) We never talked about what I would want, but he obviously knew more than me. We then celebrated by attending mass at Le Cathedrale du Notre Dame. It was probably the most beautiful mass I have ever been to. We went to a bar for some quick drinks and then headed back to the hotel to call my parents. They knew why I was calling and I think my mom was already planning the guest list. I have also heard that my cousin, my Nana, and Joe's sisters are also making plans. Just an FYI to everyone...don't be surprised if Joe and I wait just as long to have the wedding as we have been dating. :)

Merry Christmas

Yesterday was a full day in Paris. We walked EVERYWHERE for hours. Lots of site seeing, people watching, espresso, etc. Leep bought Joe a small tripod for his birthday and we have been using it like crazy. When we were in Rome in April every picture is me, but this trip Joe and I are together. It has been wonderful and every time I pull it out of my purse, we say "Leep is awesome." Unfortunately, I am having a super hard time posting pictures. Hopefully, I'll figure that out soon.

I LOVE PARIS!

Last night we just walked around the city and checked out some of the monuments. Before we came back to the hotel we stopped at a bar for a drink and had a french tapas appetizer. Not sure if tapas and French go together, but we tried it. They had six things...I will explain them as I "heard" them to be and maybe not what they are. First we tried the duck liver (foie gras). It tasted liked PURE FAT. Joey, who hates anything fatty, loved it. I had my fair share, but really didn't like it. We also had a mozzarella stick thing...but of course it was french cheese. It was a little mild. We had something that Joey said was part of a cow hoof. He could have totally been lying to be since I am the most gullible person ever. We had some shrimp and them some blue cheese corn bread. It actually wasn't blue cheese corn bread, but that is the best way to explain it. We had something else but I don't remember. Okay...Joey just told me that there was no cow hoof. :)

Today I should have some pictures, but we haven't taken any yet.

oui, oui

We're here! We landed a few hours ago, but we were exhausted! We snoozed for awhile and we are now heading out to explore the city. Our hotel is just perfect. I was worried we wouldn't have enough room for all our stuff, but it works. It is defintely smaller than American hotels, but it is modern, the bathroom is a great size with a bath, we have a safe and the pillows are super comfy. Either that or I was just extremely exhausted.

Leep, I meant to call you before I left, but I spent the past two days with some sort of food poisoning. I won't give details here, but I promise to tell you about them. :)

My little Jeff, I hope to see lots of Picasso. It is funny because I have never read a book about Picasso, but only his wife and girlfriend.

I have got to run...Joe is out of the shower and it is almost time to leave!

Okay, my friends really can be normal...but not today. This is John and Tracey. They wear matching outfits and play with alligators. Seriously, we are in Orlando for work, we have a "uniform," and I have no idea what they are doing with the alligator.
